Join us in a two-day community market in celebration of Yayasan Perpaduan Sarawak’s (YPS) 28th anniversary where we have a variety of interactive activities and galleries showcasing our unique Sarawak Identity and Culture to the community.
The objective of this project is to create a space where YPS interacts with the public in (1) exploring the meaning and concept of ‘unity’ and ‘diversity’, (2) discovering the importance of ‘unity in diversity, and (3) strengthening the coexistence within Sarawak’s communities through shared experiences.
The details of the project are as listed below:

1.0 CALL FOR ART PRACTITIONERS
YPS Community Market focuses on celebrating Sarawak in the category of (A) culture and (B) Stories.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR:
Category A
Four (4) art practitioners who can conduct one-hour workshops or clinics related to:

Category B
Three (3) art practitioners or groups who have a story to tell about the Sarawakian unity. Tell your stories through:

2.0 ART PRACTITIONER REQUIREMENT
Grant winners will be chosen based on the following criteria:
The art practitioner is:
- Sarawak-based group, team, company, or organization
- Able to lead a workshop and execute performance independently for 2 consecutive days.
- To ensure the practice of Covid19 SOPs and ethical guidelines in their workshops and performance.
3.0 HOW TO APPLY
Art practitioners can apply to one category only.
CATEGORY A

4.0 GRANT AMOUNT
For Category A, the grant for the winning proposal is RM3,000.00 maximum.
For Category B, the grants for the winning video pitch are divided into three types:
- Personal story: RM3,500.00 maximum
- Art Showcase: RM6,000.00 maximum
- Interactive play or performance: RM9,000.00 maximum
